About this Blog
The practice of nursing is supported by nursing scholarship. It includes a vast range of scientific and conceptual work. In these postings, “science” is understood in its broadest terms, including both “qualitative” and “quantitative” methodologies. Nursing scholarship has philosophical presuppositions; ideas about how theories should be structured, methodological assumptions, views about who we are and what we can be. These questions lie in the inersection bewteen the nursing literature and the philosophy literature. The goal of Nursing, Philosophy, and Science is to expose and critically engage the philosophical dimensions of nursing.
